Unifrog: A Comprehensive University Search Engine
As part of our commitment to empowering Learners in their university journey, BGA provides access to Unifrog, an innovative online platform. Unifrog serves as a one-stop-shop for Learners, offering a vast database of universities worldwide. With Unifrog, Learners can explore universities, career opportunities, and courses taught in English, no matter where they are located. The platform covers apprenticeships and Further Education colleges in the UK, as well as universities in the US, Canada, Europe, Asia, Australasia, and beyond. From university searches to building their CV, personal statement, and recommendation letter preparation, Unifrog equips Learners with the tools and resources they need for a successful application process.
Personalised Guidance with a BGA Careers Advisor
To further enhance the support available, BGA offers Learners the opportunity to schedule 1:1 meetings with our dedicated Careers Advisor. Our experienced advisor is well-versed in the university application process and can provide personalised guidance tailored to each Learner's aspirations and goals. They will assist Learners in utilising the Unifrog platform effectively, from navigating the features to shortlisting universities. The Careers Advisor can also offer valuable insights on how to choose courses and subjects, plan application steps, and refer Learners to additional resources when needed. With the expertise and support of a Careers Advisor, Learners will feel confident and empowered throughout their university application journey.
The University Checklist
For our A-level Learners specifically, BGA provides an additional resource to streamline the application process: the University Checklist. This comprehensive guide encompasses all the necessary steps involved in applying to universities. From researching potential institutions to organising application deadlines and requirements, the University Checklist serves as a roadmap to ensure Learners stay on track and make informed decisions.
UP: An Alternative Pathway
In addition to a more traditional option, Learners can also choose the Unique Pathway (UP) programme through BGA from the age of 16 and above. Upon successful completion of their International GCSEs or an equivalent qualification, they can seamlessly embark on the pathway to higher education. Through the UP pathway programme they have the opportunity to finalise their degree in person over 3-12 months at their chosen university.
